The two composers had turbulent relationship, young Beethoven pushed the gentle old Master to the limits, even making a fraud move behind his back.

Haydn is born! Where: Rohraw, Austria Nov 1, 1738. Haydn goes to Hainburg Surprisingly, Haydn was the teacher of Beethoven who is considered to be as great as Mozart in composing music. Together, the three composers formed a trinity that is considered to be responsible for the reform and development of classical music in 18th century. Haydn was one of the most important figures in Beethoven’s early career. It started on Boxing Day 1790, just 11 days after Haydn had said that sad farewell to Mozart. En route to London, Haydn and his English concert promoter Salomon decided to break their journey in the German city of Bonn.
